Was his knowledge of robotis accurate? I didn't know he was so famous or that some of his stories became movies.
I have a warning for everybody. DO NOT READ THE BOOK CALLED "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles!! IT IS THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!! Usually a book from an English class manages to keep my attention in some minuscule degree, but this one didn't at all! It just sucked! It was just a pile of random events that don't make sense and that no one cares about! So what this stupid kid jumps out of tree and cripples himself and his friend wants to join the army!! There is nothing of any value in this book. The best thing you can do to this book is to use it to start a fire or even use it as toilet paper.

Was his knowledge of robotis accurate? I didn't know he was so famous or that some of his stories became movies. Of course with most scifi authors they are horribly ahead of their time, just now in our time the events are beginning to take place that will initiate the practices in his books, such as a cities entirely encased in steel that can hold well over 20 million people, global overpopulation, and desire for space colonization beyond what already is, and dont forget this is just one half of one novel that he is written and look at all of the themes i have covered. Robots havent emerged yet as he imagined, but perhaps his nightmarish vision of their negative consequences as well as benefits has held them off, save for use as simple industrial machines and the honda models.

That material was definately beyond his life time, thought some of his predictions have come true i would say. We might get to a level that he thought of some day. This guy has covered a lot of sections for his novel writing. Sci Fi, Fiction Fantasy, etc. You need to be pretty creative to be able to maintain good stories in all of those categories.

THe book i got from the library has every one of his robotic works, I will have to provide individual reviews each time i get done with one. THere are two novels and then probably 20+ short stories, making up about 950 pages. Look for a review of the Caves of Steel....
They lie! It does not have every robot work of his! It excludes at least 2 novels? Now where can i find those? I guess i will have to purchase them. Once again, this shows the incompetence of my library....but i guess it covers my basic needs.

You said at one point that I-Robot was based on his work? I can see why considering that I too have seen the movie.
Don't be too surprised if you get a PM from TMP about the novel I've been planning for months. Yes, I have an idea, and I believe it to be a good one. It's going to be a Science Fiction book, ( more accurately Soft Science Fiction) The only clue that I'm willing to give is that events in the past, the age of intellects, change and ideas, are reasonable for the exodus that will take place for centuries to come. 2 separate yet related plots will take place. The I plan to start the Prologue tonight.

The prologue has begun, but it will take time to sort and add all the appropriate words. The last thing I want is to be repetitive and uninteresting work.

Can't wait to hear those reviews. I read the summaries a bit and they sound good. It was mentioned that Nightfall was deemed the best Science Fiction book for its time. I wonder if it still holds that rank.
Don't be surprised if another PM comes to you with chapter 1.

Don't be surprised if you are PM'd another short story or two by me , not matter manipulation yet, but they are still interesting. The subjects? Personality for the first and space colonization for the second.

I'm particularily looking forward to the colonization one. Can't wait! And I am just itching to see the matter manipulation one! I might have an idea of what it is so I'll take a guess but before I do that I need to ask you: Have you read about my "Magic Theory?"

Sorry for butting into your conversation, but one of the next books I want to read is The Communist Manifesto, by Karl Marx and Frederick Engles. The other one is the last of the LEft Behind books I spoke about some time ago really. The last one comes out in April.

I remember you telling about the Left Below books, but the other one is unknown to me. What's it about? By the way what has happend in the previous Left Below books? A post in the review topic would be a good place for a summary if you plan to make one.
So you have seen my Magic Theory TMP. My ideas in that theory is my best guesss as to what your story might be about.
