Anyone have any careers in mind or future plans? As some of the old members already know I would love to be a chef. It would be quite a job considering I would get almost no breaks, but I just like cooking and preparing meals. I find great satisfaction of impressing my friends with my concoctions and recipes. To me its a form of art, in a very practical way.

Well, i have always thought that some kind of career in writing would be good...perhaps a spot in the editorial page about my opinions on stuff. There is a columnist in my city's paper whose views are always what i think, its creepy....But i would not limit myself to that alone.

You were right when you said: "But i would not limit myself to that alone." authors hardly make any money. If you wrote a novel and sold it as paperback which is roughly $10, (Canadian) you would only get $1 from it. Authors only get 10% of the profits. Most authors biographies I read told me that the authors in question had a different job and that writing was simply a profitable hobby. It's a great hobby to be sure, but good luck making a living out of it unless you work for a newspaper.

I can see why you would not want a career but you may find it hard to maintian your hobbies and other such things without a half decent job.

Yes, of course someone like you would say that. Too scared to accept the challenge? We'll see who can and cannot maintain what and whatnot.

You assume too much Reno. I fear nothing of the sort. Could you maintain your hobbies for long without a source of income?

hahahahahaha- - - you crack me up Drizzt. You make it sound like theres a time for "Working" and theres a time for "Entertainment" . That might be so for people who openly accept this run down crap for a world like yourself. But for those like me, there is only one type of time " My time" and theres no such thing as hobbies, and entertainment. You'll see how I do it drizzt when it comes.

See it as you will Reno, you have made it clear that you reject society already. You say that the only time is your time, then why do you bother with school? You know it is a waste of your time, yet you go anyway. Why?
