I read that book nearly a decade ago, so I forgot almost all of it, nor did I truely understand all of it back then, perhaps I should read it again.

i also read it too early. I had just finished Around the World in Eighty Days and thought another J-Verne would be good but i only got 90 pages into it. It was like 2nd or 3rd grade.

...I'm surprised you went that far if it was at a grade level like that.

my gradnfather told me about him then and he was a very smart and respectable person so i tried them both. This year I finished 20,000, read the Mysterious Island(my grandfather told me of it) read From Earth to the Moon and Aroudn the Moon, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

BOT, I have a new review:
Movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Truly a great movie, it delivers everything promised and more. It wraps up many loose ends left dangling after the first film, yet ends with yet more intriguing mysteries. The fight scenes were much faster paced, the story more complex, more characters, and some humor value in places. It had action, humor mystery, intrigue, complexity, great characters, etc. Overall a great experience. I won't give away too much, so the last remark I will make is that the ending was intriguing perfection. The best movie I have seen in quite a long time. An outstanding 9/10

Superman Returns
Superman, the world's greatest hero, returns with a bang. A mysterious absence of his has let the world adjust to not having him, but as he returns, he is needed more than ever. With a much better plot than the 4th, and even greater danger than any before, this is an excellent movie.
8/10

Book Series: The Legend of Drizzt
If you were looking for an absolutely intricate and suspensful fantasy story, this would be it! R.A. Salvatore's greates character involves great battles, a perspective at a feared and evil race which Drizzt calls his own people as well as shocking mysteries and discoveries eons old and only a few years old alike. The series contains suspesful battle scenes and it is not hard at all to get into the story. In lots if stories I look for things that were just useless or not needed at all, but this serise was made so that everything there had a purpose. It,s not too hard to imagine the described scenery and yet it leaves just enough to the imagination. Very well done story, worthy of an 8.8/10

Prey by Michael Crichton
Following his typical style of an experiment gone wrong, this time a black cloud of nanoparticles escaped into the desert wilderness. It is self-sustaining, learns, and reproduces, and preys on whatever living thing in its territory. Later it is revealed that the swarms are able to posess people, and only one character has to fight his way out of the place and free the minds of all the swarms puppets. Full of action, suspense, and science, it is surely one Michael Crichton's best.
9.25/10

It was. It was very similar to Jurassic Park, which he also wrote.
