It is very nice here in Seattle. Here will be posted a journal on what I have done and what plans to be done. It will be updated as much as possible.
Wednesday
Drive to Indianapolis airport. Fly to Minnesota, break, fly to Seattle. Very long day, espicially with the time change, i stayed up for over twenty hours, waking up at five my local time and falling asleep around 10 Seattle local time. I missed the 23rd Psalm, but I have seen it.
Thursday
I go to Mt. St. Helens. It is very beatiful, yet also dangerous. The visitors center had an Imax film about the eruption, and I hiked along a two mile mountain path, ending with a wonderful view. All of the exhibits in the center where contained in an octagon shape. There was a burnt tree, a model on what happened(using lights) and a seismograph measuring the magnitude of your stomps and such. The IMAX film ended with the curtains parting with a perfect close-up view of the mountain, which was smoking due to a volcanic process whihc is slowly building up the lost area. It will take about a hundred years at the current rate to completely return to normal
Friday
We go to another mountain range, wherever Mt. Olympus is. It was snowing up there! It was really cold.
Saturday
I go to Alki beach, with wonderful views of the city.
Sunday
I kayak across Lake Union in Seattle. THe Hotel i am staying at, the Silver Cloud, has free breakfast, so I enjoy that. I found a copy of Prey by Michael Crichton yesterday and now i am on page 246/364. THe third floor lobby is where breakfast is served and is best described as an open-air restaurant. THere is a windowseat where I get most of my reading done. Also, there is a large deck outside that I read some too. At least 36 seaplanes took off this morning, and most of them returned as a i was kayaking. I think I want to live here.
Monday
I am going to Pike Place Market today, and maybe the Space Needle and the Sci-Fi museum.
Possibly a ferry to Vancouver. I really recommed coming down here, it is beautiful in the summer!
