Ah, its been so long since I've been here. I had to take my computer into the repair shop for a week because my CD drive broke down. What an odd thing to happen, considering that that part rarely has a problem and I did pay $2100 (Canadian) so I was expecting it to last. I was stuck using an obselete computer to make 4 final posts here and that took half an hour! And there were some other big problems too that came with using an old computer, most notably the fact that the credit bar stretched out the window so incredibly wide and every post contained blank spaces which equal the size of all the possible characters that can be used in a post. Needless to say I gave up and just decided to wait, I was starting to wonder if this forum would survive by the time I got back.

I was very bored, depending on some morning posts by EC and occasional posts by teh Fox and the Overlord and Doc to surive, but i spent most of the time perfecting my own forum.

You must have made a lot of progress then. You really can tell if someone is not posting often anymore, if just 1 member stops it gets a whole lot slower.

In a similar state that the forum was in when I left. Like I said before, when just 1 leaves, it can really slow down a lot! But it will take more than that to destroy this forum.

Especially if I ask to send it to more! If I ask them to send it to 15 people!
1000---- If only 100 give into it, that means, wave 2 will be send to: 1500!!! and then, if 10% only give in,,, 150x15= 2000+, then 3000+ then 5000+, bam, chain mail!

If it is successful, then some more regular members are bound to stay. There will of course be some who try this out but then leave later. It's happened before.

Of course, the old "necessity" to create a topic to explain one's abscence. Suit yourself. Regardless, there will of course be setbacks for this chain-letter idea, looking at the numbers is encouraging, but a great number of those who even bother to open the mail, and only a fraction of those who open and send the mail, then weed out those who join the forum, then those who leave or turn out to be noobs who must be banned. . . I don't object to the attempt, of course. By all means, we could use the members.
