I have just heard something very interesting on the news again. It was about the AIDS virus. Some researchers have supposedly discover that AIDS was mainly man made. It did indeed come from a primates but the virus would not have come to us if not for human work. 2 scientist during the polio outbreak, were competeing to make a vaccine for polio and both had used material found in primates as an essential ingreadiant for the vaccines. Unfortunatly one of them, I forget who, had developed his version of the vaccine but it also carried an unknown virus alled X. The virus first spread through the vaccinated african's I think. How ironic, in the attempts to cure a disease, we have unleashed a deadlier one in the prossess. It was an unforseeable consequence and accidents do happen but it is very possible that we brought the virus on ourselves.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_End_of_the_Whole_MessThat is very interesting, your count of it, it seems that Stephen King used that for this story. And, on a side note, the Blast Door Map says: Aegrescit medendo Or... The Disease worsens with the treatment.

...what a coincidence, I'll look at the link later. But I wonder how that applies to Lost. They didn't mention a sickness yet did they?

It has been mentioned by Danielle and Kelvin, Danielle says They were sick so i killed them in reference to her team, and Kelvin said not go out of the hatch unless you wanna get sick, but that was proven fake, so hmm.

I thought she was bluntly saying that the others with her had just simply gone insane or sided with the others.

Have you looked at that link? It is a stephen king novel. Let's try and keep this in general, a few lost topics is ok, but in response to that comment, she said that one of her crew lost their arm, as did Mr. Candle!

I checked out the link, its an interesting story. It comes to show that you should never do something like that without fully understanding the effects. The less agression might help but like our weapons, there might be a time when it is needed.

I highly doubt LOST is talking about AIDS however. The desies takes 10 years just to notice it. And the kind of sickness is simply bed-sickness. Not insane sickness Daniell was talking about.

True, we never did suspect that it was AIDS, we were just comparing the 2. The only thing it does is kill off your imune system and another disease will finish you off.
