Notice how the others are always barefoot? Asides from a few of them, most are barefoot, I tried looking closely, but all so far have 5 toes, maybe its Fenry who has 4...like the statue.

Perhaps, the 4 toes might indicate civilization on the island long ago, but I think they walk bare foot to make them look primitive, just like that fake beard.

On another forum, 4815162342.com, they showed a picture of Henry's foot, revealing 5 toes. But what I thought when I first saw this was Atlantis and The Rhodes thing was that it marked the location of a genetics lab on the island when it was functioning, since the 5th pinky toe is unneccessary and humans will have evolved out of it.

Makes sense, like in the film, Dharma is trying to better the human race.

Interesting theory. That would support the theory that there was early civilization there.

It could be, but I think Dharma is rewriting the DNA of people as well.

The foot, they removed the last toe, which is uesless in everyway, whcih would suggest perfecting the Human race.

This seems kind of radical but maybe the Others are an advanced race of humans who Dharma raised to surive a catastrophe?
