THis is the first Lost Media post.
I mentioned this in my wishlist post.l
The Mysterious Island starts in 1865. 5 people are trapped in the beseiged town of richmond. There is a balloon. THey take it during a big storm. THey land on an island. 4 of them land on the beach with a dog. One of them they look for. He ends up on another beach far away. And he DOESNT REMEMBER HOW HE GOT THERE. Yet he is unwounded and found in a cave. He is an engineer. It would take too long to describe the entire book, but they also train an orangutan they name Joop, part of the Hanso FOundation thing eh? Ill post more similarities later.

It was a show or TV movie, but i looked it up after i finished the book, but it changed it massively. I was based of a 1950s version of the book as a movie. A bunch of big animals roam around and Cpt. Nemo captures the engineer to make him build a bomb to blow up the world or something.
More sims: In the cave they decide to live in, there is a mysterious shaft, which the animals look down and bark at. Engineer goes down sees nothing, but later, when one of the castaways is sick, a jar of medicine is positioned right near the edge of the shaft. Also, there is a supply drop in this book, similar to the one in "Dave."

ANother thing. I thought this links to Michael's Walt conversation
Pretty far into the book, the people build a telegram to keep communication with the Scottish dude they brought back to their camp with them that they found on another island. All this mysterious stuff happens to them, and so they are really eager to find out who it is. All of the sudden, they are just sitting there and they get a message from teh guy who says he helped them and such and tells them where to go. They follow a telgraph line to a boat, sail the boat into a cave, where they find a submarine, where another character from one of Jules Verne's book 20,000 leagues under the sea is.
