A very different approach, but I thought it turned out great. Once again, those viewing the scaled version will suffer MAJOR drawbacks for this image. All the milky glows done on the text are completely gone, making the text pefectly unreadable. The left: Doctor Cid ( balthiers father, whent crazy over nethicite, and how to make artificial versions of it) The Right: Venat, a trator to its race, the Occuria, god like creatures that found and created nethicite. EDIT NOTES: - The green blotch by Doctor Cids chin has been removed. Turns out it was part of the background, but "merged" with his face making it look wierd. - The text is readable. The top is Doctor Cidfuros Demen Bunansa The bottom: Doctor Cid, and under it " History is built by our hands"

Clearly you've gotten interested in the characters in FF XII. He looks practically identical to Balthier, minus the scar and gray-streaked hair. Very colorful, I'll give you that. That colorful form on the right of Dr. Cid--is that the actual color scheme, or is solarized/inverted? I noticed the background-image merge, but I can ignore that if it isn't in the full-size version. I do like the background itself. The red-bar style is a bit different, but I suppose it works. It is something new, that can certainly be said of it.
I will give this a 7.75/10. Make no mistake, this isn't a low mark, but perhaps the red bars create too much of a bright contrast. However, the bars do work with the text design. Good work.

The form, Venat, is a imated effect when they are angered. They look like that, but thier standard appearnce is more white.
The red bars are a simple, custom Gradient. As the text. It was a differnt wallpaper, using different methods. ( No styles, or layer blending at all:: Only Gradients )

Then it was generally an experiment overall, then. It turned out well. I would claim that the background is the best part of this wallpaper. The rest is good as well, but perhaps a little more blur could have been added on the edges of his hair--it seems somewhat jagged, or perhaps it is simply a wind-blown look.

His hair is really spiked . I tried to keep it like that, but it didnt work, so I blurred it a little to kind of make up for it. The background is a very hard story to explain. Its a image of Gureviean, the place where Doctor Cid found the Occuria, the creators of pure Nethicite, and managed to prusway Venat, a good like being, to come with Doctor Cid to help him create fake Nethicite. The other god like creators did not like this, and got very agressive, so on. Since |Venat joined Cid, he got more power, more nethicite, made Balthier a Judge, whent insane, and then just kept getting worse and worse. Eventually Forcing Balthier into pirating so he could run away from his insane father, lost to a stone EDIT: Heres the background that I started with. Ripped via DVD.

If there is one thing that i like about your wall papers Reno, it's the fact that you never stick to just one style. You always seem to change them. The text bars and the background were simple but they work and I like the effect done to that figure to the right of Cid. Taking the flaws that come with a compressed image and other problems now fixed, I give this one an 8.1/10.
