Finally, my fourth wallpaper, and surprise surprise, its another marathon based wallpaper, dedicated solely for the race known as the Pfhor. The big computer box you see enclosing the image of multiple Pfhor warriors is actually the game screen for marathon 1, with the weapon title and the main view removed and inserted with multiple effects and Pfhor. The effect for the surrounding background within and outside of the computer box was one of the most basic, but one of the most effective technological looks I've done: It was simply a grid of coloured lines with a zoom radial blur.

I like it. Your obsession with marathon always gets me, and even when there's little amount of HQ images to work with ,you still manage to make great images. I like the background along with the computer box. A good wallpaper, did you mkae the computer box yourself? Or is it just a screenshot?
8/10

To be honest, that computer box was just a screen shot. As I said before, its the interface for the game in Marathon 1. The only thing that was left unctouched by modifications was the health and oxygen bars in yellow and blue.

I see, I recogized the interface, I was just wondering you re-created it or not.

If you had recreated the computer panel, THAT would have been very impressive. The wallpaper itself incorporates many of the same styles visible in your first marathon wallpaper, yet with a far neater, more polished appearance, and with more focus, as you are isolating this wallpaper to the Pfhor alien race. Nice blur effects, and good use of the interface to display titles and also give the feel of the game. Do I sense a hint of inspiration for the background effect in my Solidus Snake wallpaper?
I give this one a very good 8.5/10.

I seen that as well Ras, there is similarities. Yes, to admit, I would of been much more if you re-made the interface. At least re-colored and re-leveled. But thats very challenging in Photoshop 5 LE.

Ahh, so you did detect my variation of Ras's effect. Thanks for that one Ras. It was the inspiration I needed, however, as I've shown you, the methods and the final product are hardly alike. As for re-colouring, I've tried to do that with one of the enforcers (the 2 Pfhor figures on the far left) because like the ones in the center, one should have been reserved for a super enforcer, but, there is no record of them, and it is near impossible to get a half decent screen shot of them because they always see you and either kill you before you get the shot or their weapon fire intrudes on the image you're trying to get. Oh well, I had room for only 3 super class Pfhor anyway.
