I think that they are on an offshore island. Danielle's maps show several of them, and if the Pala Ferry takes them somwhere, if its the same little crappy boat that Michael used, then it can't be very far, as Sawyer said, "Did you get a look at the boat they used? Its a insert model name here(not said by him) only used to go short distances. It was launched from somewhere on the island."
What do you think about this?

Hmm, so, your suggesting that the Barracks is off the shore of the island? Maybe Fenry is leading them to the barracks, where they can just get re-captured again?

Perhaps it was a place for Dharma to come pick up its volunteers on the Island once they were done.

Maybe the Barracks is a huge facility used for communication, and a place where new recruits first come.

Yes, but its probably more a place for the real Dharma people to do research on the ones on the island. Fenry knows of this place, since he knew how to escape/
