With the showing of this new episode, we discover that everyone who was present when the hatch imploded survived. Charlie hobbled his way back to the camp unharmed, for the most part.
Locke found himself in the forest in the same position as Jack was in the premiere of the show, apparently mute. How, I wonder did he get there, seeing as how he probably wasn't simply blown out of the hatch into the forest?
Desmond found himself in the jungle, but without any clothes. I don't see that as being a side-effect of the hatch implosion, someone had to have taken his clothes. And somehow, he foresaw a speach that Locke would make several hours into the future. Is this ability permanent, or could he just forsee that one event, I wonder?
Eko probably found himself in a similar situation, but promptly got hauled off by a polar bear. Like I said before, someone or something had to have gotten their bodies out of the hatch, unless there was enormous force as a result of the implosion.
Could the Cerberus System be involved in this somehow? The Others, perhaps? This topic is for theories or opinions about the events surrounding, preceding and following the survival of the people in the hatch.

Yes, I find it odd, The hatch Imploded, would they implode as well?
I belive something saved them. Very quickly. It couldnt of been human, so Cerberus must be the only remaining option we know of.

Quite possibly. For a brief second, I had the thought that perhaps Desmond was killed, and it is the Cerberus System who now looks like Desmond. Assuming that Desmond is Desmond (Which he likely is) for some reason, or for none, he was the only one who didn't retain his clothing. Strange. If it was indeed the Cerberus System, why would it do such a thing? Acting under orders, perhaps?

It didn't doesn't seem to be controlable since there was a malfunction with it, and just placing people randomly on the island and leaveing Desmond without clothing is not its style.
