Locke is back, with a strange disability, He's Mute!
The episode opens with a humm..whine sound, followed by Lockes eye opening. Its exactally what happened to Jack on Season 1, episode 1. Locke was also laying in the same position.
Locke gets up, seeing Desmond run by, he appears to have no clothes on...
Locke makes a return to camp. Charlie follows him to the half built church. After a moment, he notices Locke cant talk. And they begin to do a Sharades type of guess of what Locke wants. He needs to speak to the island.
The flashbacks focus on Locke. They are probably a good year or two after his encounter with his Father, and the breakup wth Helen.
He is driving down a road, and stops to pick up a Hitchhiker named Eddie.
Eddie appears to have had a tough life. His has no actual family, and is going somewhere to work. Locke takes him to his home, which, is a fairly large family of people, Not related, but a small, mini & close community. Eddie is accepted greatly, Locke is said to be very special to these people, and that he is much better off, and he likes this family, better than his original. However, a strange Greenhouse is present. And Eddie wants in. Locke, says he's a guest, and these things take time. Later, Locke says he'll go and talk to the people in charge to see if he can get in on it. When Locke goes, it is apparent that they are growing large amounts of drugs, and the people in charge are packing it all up and leaving. They show Locke a picture. Eddie is no runaway, he is a cop. And they have been caught...or have they? Locke says he'll handle it, in which case, he takes Eddie hunting, and holds him at gunpoint. He says he is a Hunter, Eddie disagrees, and calls him a Good Farmer. Locke was about to shoot, but doesnt.
Back to the show, Locke builds a type of hut that will allow him to see what he must do. During these visions, Boone visits, and takes him to the airport. He says someone here is in alot of trouble. He finds Sayid, Jin and Sun together, ( Coniqudence? No) he finds Saywer, Kate and Jack together, but Boone, both times, says he cant help them yet, until he cleans up his own mess. Then he see's Eko's staff, full of blood. Locke snaps out of it, and then a large Bear's mouth jumps out of the fire.
Now, Locke hunts down the bear that took Eko, a polar bear for that matter.
While walking, Locke and Charlie find the remains of the hatch. Nothing more than a huge hole. They are then chased away, and they find Hurley, returning to camp from the season finale. They tell him to go back, and do what they say, tell the camp that the others have them captured.
While returning, Hurley runs into Desmond. With no clothes. Hurley gives him some strange shirt, and asks him about the failsafe. He says, he hit the failsafe, and he woke up like this, clothless, then he mentioned something about Lockes Speech to save the others...What?....?
Locke tracks down the polar bear to its cave. He enters, only to find a old, toy dump truck...and what appears to be a dharma worker, or his bones. He finds eko. After a struggle with the bear, They manage to escape. Then, locke is talking to an unconsious eko, and tells him that he's sorry for loosing faith. Eko turns his head, and says:"You will find your friends, besides, you are a hunter" BUt did he say this? Or was it Lockes imagination? Or more...
Back at camp, Hurley makes a note of having Deja-Vu, could this be conntected with Desmond talking about a speech Locke never made? Stay tuned...
