For some reason I have always had an interest in swords. Guns and bombs are more advanced more efficiant but the more primitive weapons required much more skill and stamina. My liking for such weapons only increased ever since I started to read some good fantasy books. However the more advanced weapons are fascinating to me nontheless. They sure made way for paintball.

I have always been dissapointed at the invention of guns(stupid Swiss) in the 15th century or around then, for before that time, you could actually survive a battle unscathed if you were skillled. Now its shoot and run or you die.

If it wasn't the Swiss it would have been someone else, you've got to give them credit though, to win your battles you must use the means to kill. They do what they must to win, but I do agree, it would be better if such skill with hand to hand weapons were only employed.

I do admit that the skill necessary to weild a sword is far greater than that which is necessary to fire a gun. In modern wars, all you need is "luck" to survive the battle, really, because firing your gun in a random direction does have potential to kill someone. Anyone can shoot a bullet in a direction, the sword actually proves the worth of each and every soldier.

I sometimes imagine how things would be, although this is highly unlikely, if everyone forgot how to make/use guns.

I like all weapons, but my favorite is medevil weapons, the calssic sword. The shine, the skill, such likings for these only increase when you play RPGs like Final Fantasy. Heres a few nice ones: www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=1554 - A real, high carbon steel sword, 1420/46. I bought this one, and its arriving shortly. www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=2155 - A good looking sowrd, yet a fake, Stainless Steel sword. 420J/32. img206.imageshack.us/img206/6430/oblivionkeybladejn1.jpg - To bug Ras, The Oblivion Key. From KH II. The only key I could actually stand to play with. All the others look terrible.

What do you mean by chiken baby?

Chiken baby= missing two very crucial words, its a word represending the cowardliness of todays world. People who are afraid of everything gun, knife, sword or weapon related, and says: " leave danger to someone else"

holding a sword can be done by anyone, to actually fight, that is my dream, to fight and die in a great war, and not die as a old man.

But not everyone has the luxury of dying like that 47, and I see you've shown the Icingdeath. That too is one of my favourite blades considering that Drizzt, my favourite fantasy character wields it.
