Has anyone heared of the new car safety system? It sounds like a risky idea to me. It is supposed to take over your car if you are in or heading into danger and lead you away from it. If something goes wrong with that, then you will have no control over your car at all and you could end up dead. In time when this technology is perfected then it might be useful, but it's still in its first stages and I won't trust something like that unless its proven technology.

A little. That summary didn't describe much though. In the summary the house just continued to run after the occupants were dead. In the car case, the program remains inert until it sense something dangerous.

If the car could drive itself, it would be disatrous for it to malfunction. I think technology is robing us of human contact and strenous tasks.

That is one way of looking at it. I do agree with you that it would be dangerous if it malfunctioned, and it is true that it is taking away manual work which is good for us, that's not good but automated systems might be nessesary at some time. Sure we could do all the work instead of using machines, but that would slow down progress. In Star Trek for example, it would be next to impossible to maintain a star ship with only man power, it is a nessesity.

Another bump, but here's a question.
What do you guys think about Blu-Ray?

You mean the DVDesque thing?
I have no idea what it is, but it will probably make DVDs obsolote eventually, just like DVDs made VHS obsolete, and things will keep going forever and ever like that with all technology.

Yeah. The PS3 has Blu-Way technology in it. I really don't get it. It seems the Blu-Ray is almost the same as the DVD. I don't see a difference.

Blue ray's can hold 25 GB of info ( DVD can only hold 4.5GB) and a double blue ray can hold around 50GB. Thats alot of info right there.

I would agree with that. But is the only difference the amount of info?
BTW, (OT), I can't remember the last time when this many members were online.
