Oh yes! More information! Convenience is going to murder our society. In the future, there will be gadgets that will serve our every needs, including walking, eating, entertainment, some of which already exist.

Blu Ray is much better than Standard DVD. Blu Ray and High Definition DVD (HD DVD) are the two disk high definition formats. However, Blu Ray can do 1080p, which means there are over 2 million pixels progressively. HD DVD can only do 1080i, which is interlaced.
It is a battle between these two formats. Back in the day, there was a very similar battle: Beta vs. VHS. Beta was Sony's, just like how Sony has Blu Ray. Well, VHS obviously won.......but who will win this one?

We're moving towards a cash-less society, you know?

As in paper currency and coins?

As in nothing.

How so? We have already had that stage. Before currency, everything was traded, or bartered. Are you saying that we are moving back to barter?

No, I am just saying that eventually we will not be using cash. We have the technology to store "cash" in a storage computer like a bank account. It's just everything we usually use.
Sorry if I'm not making much sense, it isn't easy to explain.

Well, it's still "cash," but it's all digital. I know what you are talking about, and I don't know if that is very close. Sure, it might happen in 20 years, but I don't see it happening tomorrow.

No, not now. But I think that the technology will be with us withing 10 years.

Well then if currency is digital, then people can probably manipulate their income to their interest, which could lead to infinite possibilties.

Which would be exactly why the accounts would be run by the government. I find it very interesting...

SO the government would control pay, but what if the government was corrupt, and they manipulate themselves to be the financial and political rulers of the world?

That's the beauty of communism...the government woudln't be able to do such a thing, because 1) everyone gets equal pay, and 2) I doubt every country would have that technology.
But, I didn't mean the central government. What I meant by government was like a local government or a government agency.

Wait, are you saying that local government would use it only? Im confused.

Like say withing the vicinity of say...10 counties. But yes, the local governments would do the main organization, and a government organization would be like...for lack of a better word...backup.
